English Curriculum Problems
Learning English as a second language can be very difficult especially if English is not the teacher’s native language. There are many facets to learning a new language: vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, conversation, etc.
A common problem with Latin American English curriculums is seen in the students’ inabilities to understand native English speakers and to speak English so others can understand.
MADEL Curriculum
MADEL seeks to prevent these issues in their students in many ways:
1. Our suggested materials target problem areas.
2. Our lesson plans ensure all areas are covered in class.
3. Our CDs allow students to hear native English speakers.
MADEL suggests both books from the United States and our own ESL books to help address all of the facets of learning a new language. Our curriculum provides a unique harmony of vocabulary, pronunciation, spelling, conversation, ESL grammar, English grammar, writing, and reading that will enable students to have a solid grasp of the English language by the time they finish elementary school. Our lesson plans help teachers work through this unique harmony in the most beneficial way.
For more information on MADEL’s curriculum, see our Store page or contact us. We would be happy to answer any questions.
Assessments
MADEL can also assess your school’s English program, English teachers, and students’ English levels. If using the MADEL curriculum, we can assess our program in your school, as well as your teachers and students, multiple times throughout the school year.
If you are interested in implementing MADEL’s curriculum, we can tailor our curriculum to fit your school’s unique needs.
