Many countries in Latin America have an overburdened and underfunded National Health Service that translates to limited access to quality health care for their citizens. There are privately-funded clinics and hospitals that deliver services to those who can afford them, but unfortunately, they are out of reach for most people. For instance, in contrast to the USA, private hospitals and clinics are not required to provide services to those who cannot pay, even in emergency situations.

Medical outreach is an effective way to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those who otherwise would not come to church. Our goal is to conduct medical outreach in a way that strengthens the local church and its ministries even after our participation has ended.

Goal 1. To reach out to the community with the gospel
In coordination with the church staff, we conduct medical campaigns in conjunction with evangelistic activities.

Goal 2. To serve the health needs of church members and their families
The health ministry focuses on two areas: health education and disease prevention. The activities of the health ministry are directed in the first place, to the members of the church and their families.

Goal 3. To help local churches start their own medical ministries
We work with the local church leadership to select a member who, preferably, has training in a health profession (physician, nurse, etc.).  Our hope is that this individual will became the leader of their ministry. The our objective is to be a blessing to the local church by expanding their vision of outreach and ministry with the use of medical attention. In the future our goal is to empower this ministry and help them grow with the assistance of our medical mission trips.

Building and strengthening a network of health professionals (physicians, nurses, etc.) who are willing to support and participate in our medical activities are key to accomplish our goals. If you are interested in participating, please contact us.
